Coin Information

Coins are the primary currency of Township which are used for growing crops, constructing buildings, houses, enclosures, etc. and decorating your town.

Earning Coins

Listed below are 14 ways to earn them from the best to the worst:

1. Helicopter

The best way to earn coins is by delivering orders via the helicopter mainly because there is a Booster that can be used which doubles the amount of coins earned. A great time to use a Helicopter Booster is during Regattas when helicopter and coin tasks are available. Try to use goods in the barn from creating them in factories and fields to save coins because it’s easy to spend a lot of them on goods in the market. Although, you will earn significantly more using the generous customer booster and being able to complete more helicopter orders.

1a. Helicopter Orders require 4 main preparations:

  1. Use 1 to 3 Boosters. (Drastically increase all coins earned.)
    1. Generous Customer (Recommended)
      • Multiplies all coins earned by 2x or 200%.
      • Use if you are able to do 50-100+ orders over 1-2 days.
    2. Vibrant Market (Optional)
      • Reduces the market refresh time from 6h to 3h (50%).
      • Refreshing the market faster helps fill orders faster, and it’s even more effective with 200+ market boxes.
    3. Record Demand (Optional)
      • Reduces new helicopter orders from 30m to 6m (80%).
      • New orders take 30m if no current orders can be filled, and when reduced to 6m there will often be new orders that can be completed.
  2. Set time aside. (Complete as many orders as possible for 1-2 days.)
    • The more free time, the more goods that can be bought, the more orders that can be completed, the greater the profit you will make.
  3. A Full Barn. (Have many goods in stock to get a head start on orders.)
    • A good barn size is around 1000-1500+ storage.
    • Stock up on around 3-6 or more of each good depending on the space available in the barn. Also planting crops or buying them from the market helps to save barn space.
  4. 100+ Market Boxes. (For a larger quantity and selection of goods.)
    • The market is the next best place to obtain goods for orders.
    • A good amount of market boxes to aim for is 200+ because crops come in large quantities, and there’s no limit on the amount of market boxes that can be purchased. The more boxes available, the more goods that are in the market, the more orders that can be filled to earn coins.

2. Zoo Orders

Every order filled rewards Coins and XP. New Zoo Orders appear every 3 hours (8 free per day).

3. Airplanes

Filling crates for yourself and many friends.

A decent amount of coins are rewarded for every crate filled, and even more if an entire row of crates is done. Also extra rewards are received for fully loading planes.

4. Train

Loading friends train carts. More friends means more coins!

In general coins are lost filling train carts since the amount rewarded is small, and filling personal train carts only rewards XP. Although not many are gained the purpose of filling crates is to earn clovers to spend at the House of Luck to win Coins, Cash, and more.

5. Mine

Excavating coins, and opening chests in treasure rooms.

They can be found by excavating tiles which can also reveal rare treasure rooms with even more coins and chests to open. It’s best to only open free treasure chests as Cash chests are not worth it overall, and often give mining tools if they are found and opened in the mine.

6. House of Luck (HOL)

Spend 5 clovers to open a chest to win coins, Cash and more.

Clovers are earned from helping fill all co-op and friends requests. Playing the HOL is one of the main ways to earn free Cash, so add friends, help them load goods, and join an active co-op to fill requests. The amount of coins won are based on levels, and higher levels reward more.

7. Level Up

When the XP bar is full players level up and earn some Coins or Cash, and unlock new things.

Also when certain amounts of XP are reached on the XP bar players will receive a Reward Chest which can include:

  • Cash, Coins, Animal Cards, materials, etc. to progress in the game.

8. Co-op

Giving requested products to your co-op members.

Generally coins are lost sending requested goods to co-op members because a small amount is given in return. The goods sent are often worth a lot more than the amounts gained from requests.

Similar to the train this is another way to earn clovers.

Up to 2 clovers can be rewarded from helping fill a request. Requesting goods frequently gives other co-op members a chance to receive clovers. There is a daily limit (every 24 hours) of 5 clovers from helping fill co-op requests. After that you’ll only get coins and XP, so give others an opportunity to help.

9. Gift Balloons

There are 5 balloons which you can receive with various rewards:

  1. Ernie’s Balloon
    • Receive 1 per day. Rewards: 1 Cash.
    • Receive his balloon every 24h by filling 1 of the requests in his town.
  2. Friends Balloon
    • Gift up to 5 per day. Rewards: Coins or 1 Cash randomly.
    • Whenever a friend sends a gift Friend’s Balloons are rewarded.
  3. Friends Balloon (Event)
    • Gift up to 5 per day. Rewards: 1 random event good or item.
    • During event periods the rewards are changed to event goods or items.
  4. Friends Balloon (Valentine’s)
    • Cash gift. Choose a cash gift and message to send to friends.
    • Send cash gifts to friends. Event gifts are only available during Valentine’s Day.
  5. Cash Balloons
    • Receive 1 free per day, and up to 3 extra. Costs 3 Cash to open.
    • Rewards: Building materials, barn, expansion, and mining tools, and 3-10 Cash.
    • These balloons can be found in all towns.

10. Daily Rewards

Collect a reward daily which increases as for consecutive logins up to a maximum reward.

Day 1 to 4 rewards coins, and the 5th day rewards 2,400 coins, 3 clovers, or 1 Cash randomly. Also if players continue logging everyday after the 5th day they can receive 1 of the 3 max rewards daily. If a player hasn’t logged in within 24 hours since they last received a daily bonus the rewards will reset back to day 1.

  • There is also a one time 10 Cash reward for returning players who haven’t logged in for at least 30 days (?).

11. Video Ad

There’s a 50/50 chance to receive them from watching a Helicopter video ad.

The amount depends on a players level. Lv40 = 200+, Lv50 = 500+, Lv80 = 800+, etc.

12. Barn

Selling goods directly from the barn. The value of barn goods depend on how long it takes to produce. It’s best not to sell any goods from the barn because it offers the least amount of coins for goods. Other ways such as Helicopter orders, filling trains, planes, and filling orders at the Zoo all reward a lot more for goods.

13. Mint

Producing coins using Ingots smelted at the Factory then sold at the Mint.

This is not a good option to obtain them and should only be considered after doing many upgrades at the Academy of Industry including factories, trains, islands, and the feed mill to very high levels. It’s highly recommended to max shelves, time, coins, and good chances (islands) before using the Mint.

14. In-app Purchases

Purchasing coins via in-app purchase.

For pay to play players coins can be bought immediately using real money to purchase them and support the developers. While free to play players who play Township daily can gain large amounts of coins with patience, and especially Helicopter Orders and Zoo Orders.
